The above practices eliminate the accumulation of toxins and lead to optimal health.

The effects of shatkarmas can be summed up in two words Cleansing and Purification . Without cleansing the body will not be ready for the highest practices of yoga. When the various systems of the body have been purified, the overall effect is that energy flows freely through the body.
